Heteronormative Culture is a Strangling Monoculture

The existence of trans people speaks directly to the defects in heteronormative culture. I am trying to: 1. DESTROY heteronormative culture.  2. Install something less dysfunctional in its place.  The site Formulary of Life exists at all as a power play political move to say FUCK YOU DONALD TRUMP.   Donald Trump is openly transphobic, homophobic, racist, hates Native Americans, has a wife more than twenty years younger than him and in a nutshell represents everything wrong with heteronormative culture which actively promotes subsistence culture  and actively turns sex into a negative experience we should fear and loathe. Heteronormative culture is a paradigm that insists that there's one and only one correct lifestyle: A nuclear family with a breadwinner father, homemaker mother and dependent minor children. This encourages old farts like him to marry much younger women under circumstances that make it a negative experience for everyone involved resulting in A...

Venezuela

Trump has said that no further attacks on Venezuela are imminent but that they may become necessary if the country’s interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, does not acquiesce to U.S. demands for access to Venezuela’s vast oil reserves. France has nuclear power because it's the only way to secure adequate energy, a national security issue, without being someone's bitch.  The US isn't that savvy and has decided to be the schoolyard bully taking your lunch money because we can't adequately manage our affairs in a civilized, competent fashion.

POV

1953 – 2025 U.S. Relations With Iran Deeply unpopular among much of the population, the shah relies on U.S. support to remain in power until his overthrow in 1979. I turned fourteen in 1979. Navarre likely turned 31 and perhaps was finally released from prison. We didn't really speak much of it, so my understanding of those events and how that impacts his life is limited. My understanding is he spent three years in prison for his political activism and got married at age 28. I'm guessing he was newly married when he got locked up for reasons I was never told. Of his release, what I know is that he learned French in prison and was about to start studying German "when they let him out." I infer that he was expecting to remain in prison and his release was a surprise, so I'm guessing the 1979 revolution is likely the explanation for his seemingly sudden and unexpected release from prison. I saw two headlines today and didn't click into the articles. One said Isra...

Fear is the Mind Killer

Article  showing a photo of Elvis, "The King", absolutely looking like a king, shaking hands with some ugly loser in a business suit named Nixon. Who is president in 1985? Ronald Reagan  The ACTOR? -- Back to the Future   The US seems to largely miss the significant impact Reagan's acting career had -- and still has -- on the presidential image. His presidency marked a sea change in how our presidents get depicted in photos and video clips because Reagan was always keenly aware of what was behind him and how that would impact the impression made upon the public. Historically, nobles, celebrities and others in the public eye had a more curated public image than they do today. Trump looks like such an idiot so much of the time because that's no longer true and he obviously doesn't know how to effectively navigate that issue. I imagine his "just plain folks" schtick goes over well in person and then bombs much of the time in the media. I'm twice excepti...

Hello World

If you are someplace other than the US, Canada, Gaza or Greenland and watching the current political drama and thinking "It sucks to be you." about Canada, Greenland or Gaza, maybe you should read a little history  and contemplate how you will feel if the US successfully takes over those places and then doesn't stop there. I don't know anything about Trustin Judeau, but he's shockingly calm in videos when saying surprisingly diplomatic things like "We're hoping it doesn't come to that." I don't know politics and I don't know him, but I do know something about what it takes to stand your ground diplomatically in the face of enormous pressure. Trump is hoping he's a loser he can handily crush but I suspect he's got more game than Trump.

I don't think you can get there from here, Mr. President

So I did a  small rant elsewhere  and I think the idea is the US government is planning to force mentally ill people to do farm work to replace the illegal immigrants who typically do it and have for decades, lured here by the implicit promise that their children would have a better future if they did this essential, low paying backbreaking labor that Americans don't WANT to do. As stated previously on this blog, I think Donald Trump is shooting for establishing world government  via asking other countries to join as states and: ... my suspicion is his remarks about FEMA are part of a larger plan to add other countries as US states and tell them "No, the US will not be bled by all the underdeveloped countries for endless aid in the process of creating a world government." IF I'm correct -- retarded idiots reading my blog please note the all caps word IF -- then the problem here is he wants to make all people of planet Earth citizens of the US except Native Americans....

DEI, FEMA, World Government

This is kind of a brain dump and probably messy. Remember: It's a BLOG post by a big fat fucking NOBODY, not a PhD paper and not a press release from a government official. I saw a piece where Trump was saying DEI may have been a factor in some bit of negative news, a plane crash I think, that I hadn't heard because I intentionally live under a rock and ignore "The News" to the best of my ability. I think I get what he's saying and I know people think that sounds racist AF, but he's right if he's saying what I think he's saying: hiring criteria OTHER THAN "the most qualified for the job" tends to undercut excellence in the workplace and for some jobs that require a high level of performance that can literally be disastrous. It cuts BOTH ways. Historically, the Mafia was incredibly racist and Italians only worked with Italians and Irish only worked with Irish etc and the most successful American mafioso was NOT racist and worked with everyone ...

Working Off A Dead Horse

Working off a dead horse is an expression from a few hundred years ago. When individuals joined the military to pay off debts as a form of bankruptcy, they were fed hard tack by the military as a cheap means to keep them fed while their pay went to their debts. The expression is double entendre. It both means they are working to pay off the debts and it means they are eating hard tack as their primary or sole food for long periods. The "dead horse" refers to both the debts and the unappealing meat they are eating. Russia most likely invaded Ukraine because Ukraine is the bread basket of the region and Russia is a large country in the far north and has trouble raising enough food.  My sons are part Viking on their father's side and have read up on the history and culture of the Vikings to understand their heritage. They have told me things about it that I cannot find a nice, neat source to cite with a blurb supporting their assertions but I think what they have told me mak...

This and that

I'm exhausted and I'm seeing different stuff in my notifications and wondering about some things. I don't agree with Trump's attack on birthright citizenship though I think I understand the line of reasoning. Currently, there are more than a thousand people a day flooding over our southern border. It's a lot and I think it's reasonable to be concerned. They do that because they hope for a better life for themselves and their children. And birthright citizenship is part of the draw. You can work the fields or whatever and even if you are here illegally, your children will be citizens. I once knew a doctor whose parents had worked the fields, so some of them do get the American dream  out of it, something most Americans no longer seem to get or even dream of. But we are going to run into a problem in that our current system relies on immigrants -- often illegal immigrants -- to bring in the harvest. Most Americans won't take those jobs and that is potentially ...

World Government

Humans wrote fantastical fictional stories for hundreds of years about going to the Moon before we actually traveled there. In recent decades, our movies and other fiction about the future frequently posit interplanetary commerce and by default assume a world government for every planet and a representative from each planet at some intergalactic governing body. As far as I know, most humans agree that only nutters believe in aliens from other planets visiting Earth. I don't know, I don't care and it's an irrelevant detail. We have a number of regional coalitions, like ASEAN and the European Union . I think the world is currently moving towards the organic emergence of a world government and our fiction that assumes a future in which a world government exists is part of the psychological process where humanity moves towards such. In any emergent human social phenomen where something new is growing out of unprecedented circumstances, there are typically competing ideas for h...

Another political opinion

Some years ago, I had an Iranian boyfriend. This post is not about my personal life. That detail is to say I knew a man well and talked with him a lot and he was likely a student protester involved in the Iranian Revolution where they kicked the US out. I'm not going to bother to look up whatever politically correct bullshit Wikipedia says about why the US went into Iran and installed a puppet government or turned existing leaders into their puppets.  This man was substantially older than me. Those political events occured when I was a child, probably ten years old or less. I neither paid attention to the news about Iran at that time nor would I likely have understood it had I done so. But somewhere in the neighborhood of fifty years ago, Iran kicked us out. And to this day the US -- the country routinely called the most powerful country in the world -- has sanctions against Iran. Our relationship to Iran is like an abusive parent continuing to fuck with the life of their abused ch...

Just when you think the world is getting better

Yeehaw, Assad has been ousted. The world might get better! Oh, wait. Donald Trump hasn't even been inaugurated and is making noises about peaceably taking over Canada . I wonder how the Canadians feel about that? Anyone up for global thermonuclear war? Or do you want to wait until America brings "freedom" to your country before you protest this shit? Planet Earth is already making moves towards a legitimate world government via regional coalitions like the European Union and ASEAN. Most likely a world government will be an emergent phenomen the grows naturally out of such coalitions. I'm pretty sure Trump tampered with all three elections he ran in. I believe he tampered more when running against women because he counted on sexism making people not question those wins by providing plausible deniability. AKA "He's a misogynist." AND "He was never legitimately elected to office." No big, I guess. This country elected a man we CONVICTED of more th...

None of the Above

The war in Ukraine needs to end to bring down grocery prices. That would, in fact, be hard to do. Maybe this guy could be more neutral. Please note I dislike ALL American politicians. I'm neither FOR nor AGAINST Trump. I spent the entire election joking Vote None of the Above . It looks to me like Trump tampered with this election but he also apparently tampered with the election in 2016, has more than 30 felony counts related to that and the Republican party ran him anyway as their presidential candidate AND those trials wrapped up recently or are still ongoing eight god-damned years later, so I'm not holding my breath that anyone will actually stop Trump from being president. Nor do I actually know enough about the other candidate to say with confidence she would be a better president. I mean if Trump intends to actually pursue a goal of becoming dictator of the world, which I vaguely have the impression is the goal, people in OTHER countries should be discussing how they f...
